Government cuts interest rate on small savings schemes
For the July-September quarter of the 2019-20 financial year, the Indian government has reduced interest rates by 10 basis points for small savings schemes.
Some schemes providing low interest rates; Kisan Vikas Patra (7.6%), Public Provident Fund (7.9%), Sukanya Prosperity Account (8.4%).
